Better Than Traditional Rigid Duct Systems
Swimming Pools are harsh environments and yet the ventilation systems designed must provide gentle air movement to avoid draughts as wet bodies are much more sensitive to air movement and too much velocity across the swimming pool surface causes evaporation. Traditional rigid duct systems for swimming pool ventilation are quite large given the air volumes needed to heat swimming pools and need to be protected and painted in order to avoid corrosion, a job that may need doing more than once over the life of the ducting.
How Does Prihoda Swimming Pool Ventilation Work?
Prihoda Fabric Ducts are designed individually for each individual project, nothing is standard and so we ensure that every system is optimised to deliver the correct air volume in the correct place at the correct velocity. For optimum swimming pool ventilation, we place air outlet diffusers at different points to wash glazing with air and remove condensation to ensure that the air we supply to the occupied zone has minimal velocity in populated areas. We also try to ensure that a minimal amount of air finds its way across the pool surface to disturb non-condensables that can build up just above the water surface.
Non-Permeable & Corrosion Resistant Materials
Prihoda fabric is made from 100% polyester (also available as a recycled material made from plastic water bottles recycled into polyester) which is completely corrosion resistant within a chlorine atmosphere, meaning no additional coating or colouring is needed, which makes it the perfect material for swimming pool ventilation. Our ducts are available in 9 standard colours or any colour or pattern arrangement (or logo) required subject to some additional cost. The material is non permeable and will not block, meaning the ducts don’t need to be removed for cleaning in terms of performance but may need washing or brushing down to remove entrained dust on the surface of the duct.
