Our range of fabric ducting materials...

Below is a list of the more popular materials available from Prihoda.

All of our products have been developed specifically for Fabric Ducting applications.  It has taken years of development to create the perfect materials for this product. Just the right weight and strength, flexibility and longevity, safe and consistent in quality and performance whilst also offering the benefits needed from many different industries (cleanroom standard, flame retardant, anti-static etc).

Our most popular materials are available in 9 colours (see the colours link) however others, such as Recycled or PVC coated, are only available in the four most requested colours (White, Light Grey, Dark Grey and Blue).  Colours from our standard 9 colour range cost no extra.

All of our Classic and Premium materials have a 10 Year warranty with the exception of the Light Weight materials and the PVC coated material which have a 2 year warranty period.

How to Choose a Suitable Fabric?

Please select a question below to reveal the answer
Do you need a permeable material?

Probably the most important question.
If you will ever be introducing supply air temperatures below the dew point of the air in the room the Fabric Ducts are installed in, then YES you will need Permeable material.

We may suggest permeable material to you for other reasons - for example if you had a short duct with a high air volume we may suggest that some of the air be allowed to permeate through the weave of the fabric.

Conversely if you have a very long duct with a small air volume we would advise that you use non permeable material (assuming the air is above the room dew point temperature) as you might lose a high percentage of your air through a permeable weave.

With Prihoda you can have a non permeable material that is machine washable and looks identical to permeable material. This is not possible with certain other manufacturers.

Do you need anti-bacterial or anti-static protection?

These options are available with both Permeable Premium and Non Permeable Premium materials and retain all of the other features and benefits of the Classic material (flame retardant, 10 Year warranty etc).

Do you need a non standard colour?

We have 9 standard colours available on the most popular materials. None of these cost any extra. In effect one can order 9 ducts each of a different colour and have no cost penalty - it would be the same cost as if they had all been ordered in White. One could even have a duct with each section between zippers different colours if desired. There is no additional cost so long as the colours chosen are from the standard range of 9 colours.

If you need a non standard colour this is always available but may be subject to extra cost (we have to order a minimum area of material in the special colour and the additional cost will depend upon how much of this is used).

Orders with special colours can take (typically) from 6 - 8 weeks to fulfil. Orders with standard colours will be fulfilled within 3 - 4 weeks from date of order.

Does the material weight matter in quality/longevity terms?

You will use a light weight material if you have a system with incredibly low external static pressure as it takes less pressure to inflate a light weight duct, or if you have a light weight structure to suspend the ducting from. More than 90% of the duct we sell is the classic or premium medium weight material.

With fabric Ducting there is an optimum point for material weight where strength, quality, performance and longevity meet. Our medium weight material is of the highest quality. After this point additional material weight serves no purpose, there is no additional strength benefit as the weakest point in any Fabric Ducting system is actually the sewn joints and not the material itself. Once the material is a significant strength above a sewn joint additional weight just adds cost (cost of duct, cost of shipping extra weight and cost of suspending extra weight) without adding benefits.

Prihoda has the optimum material at the optimum weight and a 10 year guarantee on this material.

Do you want a totally sustainable product?

Beware of different eco claims with Fabric Ducts - be sure to ask what the ACTUAL recycled content of the duct is... Some Fabric Ducting products claim to be green because they are recyclable (but actually contain NO recycled content).... well, all fabric ducting products made from 100% polyester are recyclable and have been for years....

Some claim to have some recycled content... how much is important and also what type of recycled content??
If it's POST INDUSTRIAL then this is probably waste and offcuts (of new polyester) from the manufacturing process reused again. Worthwhile sure, but not going to make a dent.

Our recycled duct is made from 100% recycled material. Furthermore it's made 100% from POST CONSUMER recycled plastic (water bottles). This actually removes waste from the system and reuses it, whilst doing so it reduces the amount of water and energy used in the manufacturing process by as much as 50% and it also reduces the amount of carbon gas emitted by as much as a third* Please see our RECYCLED page for more information.
